Go Irish in north Seattle for St Patrick’s Day (if you’re not me)

As a born Brit, I shouldn’t even be writing this post.  I flat-out refuse to wear green on the 17th, and if you’re wearing a “Kiss me I’m Irish” t-shirt, I am definitely not kissing you.  BUT, if you insist on being Irish tomorrow (which to a Brit is just about one step down from being French), here’s where you can celebrate:

  • Murphy’s Irish Pub – 1928 N 45th Street.  Doors open 10 a.m., 4 Irish bands throughout the day.
  • Conor Byrne Pub – 5140 Ballard Ave NW.  Doors open at 12 p.m., live music from 1 p.m.
  • The Dubliner – 3517 Fremont Ave N. Doors open at 10 a.m., 3 bands throughout the day.
  • Finn MacCools – 4217 University Way NE. Doors open at 9 a.m., live music throughout the day

As an alternative to the Irish choices, you can also celebrate St Patrick’s Day Mexican-Style, at Tacos Guaymas Green Lake – with Guinness and Jameson specials and a mariachi band!
