Everyone’s invited and encouraged to attend a public meeting Monday, June 6th regarding plans for a University Heights Open Space. The meeting will run from 7pm to 9pm at the University Heights Center for the Community (5031 University Way NE).
The Seattle Parks Department will introduce the design team, Hough Beck and Baird Landscape Architects, and run through several design options to gauge public opinion. The park is intended to integrate the Center for the Community, a p-patch, and the farmer’s market as well as provide recreational features and uses. It will occupy the entire south half of the University Heights site (off NE 50th).
