Shops and Hops: North Seattle Breweries team up for the sake of Art

One of the thing I love about the local breweries, besides the beer and the good times, is the willingness to be active members of the community they reside in.  So I was excited to see that five local breweries are coming together in Ballard for a special art walk this March, for the sake of the Pratt Fine Arts Center.

On March 10th, from 4pm to 8pm, art-walkers can enjoy wandering through five studios and tasting beer from the five breweries, with their $50 general admission cost benefitting Pratt.  Pratt Fine Arts Center, located in the central district, provides art classes for all levels of artists and studio space for work to be done.

The artwalk will take place in Ballard, with featured studios Building C, Ballard Metal Arts, Fifty Four Sixteen Artist Collective, McNae Metals and Design, and Salty Dog Studios.  Participating breweries are Fremont Brewing, Hilliard’s Beer, Lantern Brewing, Maritime Pacific and NW Peaks Brewery.  Fremont Mischief Whiskey is included with a VIP ticket, which costs $75 and includes a tour of Ginny Ruffner’s home and studios.  Excited art and beer lovers can RSVP here (and if you do so before March 1st get a free custom pint glass).
